Annick Galimont

Being a potter allows me to express my creativity using my hands, mind and heart. It allows me to flow and run away from time.

Being a potter connects me to one of humanity’s oldest artistic traditions.

I work with different types of clays, each for different reasons, highlighting some of its characteristics.

I chose black clay because of the depth of the color and the beautiful contrast it offers with the enamels. Motifs inspired by the animal world are born spontaneously, by the attraction I feel for them and by this point of innocence that closes their forms.

Porcelain attracts me with its purity, whiteness, hardness and fragility at the same time.

White stoneware is versatile and allows for everything.

My ultimate intention is to create beautiful, personal and unique utilitarian objects.
